As a local, you'd know that Great Billing is prone to flooding after heavy rain, and Billing Aquadrome has flooded a few times.

I was expecting VBOA to pull the plug on this Wed or Thurs when it became apparent there was going to be another band of extremely heavy rain passing through late Friday evening.

We got woken at 4am on the ABS field and told to leave every thing including the cars there. yea, right. it was at 6am that the message come around that it was all cancelled and to start making our way out. I Left at 11am when we had got everything off safely. Then got told to turn around on the A45 as it was shut due to flooding. Got out the back way, to the A428. At the black cat round about on the A1, a range rover came round from south and burst into flames in front of us. 45 minutes later the fire brigade turned up to extinguish the little that was left. Then back in Witham Essex, the police stopped us due to the annual carnival prossesion. what a day. see you all there next year!!!  Keith B
