Factory Alarm
« on: 27 September 2012, 15:10:06 »

Looks like I have managed to solve the previous issues with your help. However today new problem which may be connected with fuse 7, when the car is unlocked with the key fob and then the key turned to start the engine the alarm sounds for 30seconds or so, this does not effect the engine starting or driving off, has anyone experienced the same problem? Any known causes?

Do you still have a power sounder fitted? If so, that would be my guess.

I'm guessing it's just an electronic siren noise, without the additional horn that normally sounds with the alarm?

Many thanks that was what I was thinking of doing as it is only the sounder, does it need to be a really big bucket of water or would the North Sea be big enough.

At least it's nothing drastic.
