Hi has anyone known a new genuine crank sensor from vauxhall to fail within 4 weeks??

i have replaced one on my 3.0v6 and it has only lasted me that long.... code 19 and wont rev past 3000-4000rpm with alot of violant missfires to go with it.

Have had reports of some sensors failing very quickly

yea massive screw up on there part sent me the wrong one twice then a second hand one and now one that has only lasted this long..... pissed off to say the least, and the way there returns work is you have to buy a new one at full price then when vauxhall decide to have a look at it they will send you your money back. i imagine it aint gona be that easy either, probly try and say its my fault some how

I had a new Vx one fail on a 2.5V6 around a month after I fitted it.  Car wouldn't start and code 19 showing.

Vx would only supply a new replacement one foc if I could get the car to them, and they then found sensor to be faulty.  They would then supply & fit a new one!  For £50 not worth cost and effort getting a dead car trailered 12 miles to dealer.  I paid for another, fitted it, problem solved.  My view of Vx as a result of this is that they are a bunch of cheating feckers
