Crank sensor FAIL!!

Hi has anyone known a new genuine crank sensor from vauxhall to fail within 4 weeks??

i have replaced one on my 3.0v6 and it has only lasted me that long.... code 19 and wont rev past 3000-4000rpm with alot of violant missfires to go with it.

Have had reports of some sensors failing very quickly  :(

yea massive screw up on there part sent me the wrong one twice then a second hand one and now one that has only lasted this long..... pissed off to say the least, and the way there returns work is you have to buy a new one at full price then when vauxhall decide to have a look at it they will send you your money back. i imagine it aint gona be that easy either, probly try and say its my fault some how  >:(

I had a new Vx one fail on a 2.5V6 around a month after I fitted it.  Car wouldn't start and code 19 showing.

Vx would only supply a new replacement one foc if I could get the car to them, and they then found sensor to be faulty.  They would then supply & fit a new one!  For £50 not worth cost and effort getting a dead car trailered 12 miles to dealer.  I paid for another, fitted it, problem solved.  My view of Vx as a result of this is that they are a bunch of cheating feckers  >:(
