sick as a parrot scrapped migs
« on: 25 August 2012, 12:13:53 »

an old friend of mine who had been ill for quite a while died a couple of weeks ago. the guy had been a deisel mechanic on permanent nights for over 25yrs helping to maintain a fleet of wagons. he owned two migs a 3.2 & a 2.5td elites. the diesel had no mileage to speak of. the only time it moved was to tow a caravan from york - lowestoft & return once a year. his sons scrapped both cars at a s/dealer that crushes them practically on arrival. the guy was a great individual, if he passed a broken down motorist if possible he,d assist. thats how i met him.

Sorry about your friend. Bet he wouldn't be happy to know his sons have done this. Muppets

People do some strange things during a bereavement, whos to say what was going on in there minds, we all have to go through it at one point, I remember looking back weeks, months and years later and thinking to myself, maybe I didn't deal with that the way I should have done.

Agreed - could it be that they couldn't bear to have seen their dad's car driving around?
