I was driving my taxi listening to Talkradio when the news broke that Dodi had been killed outright and Diana was seriously injured.
Every passenger I told thought I was telling them some kind of sick joke and was waiting on the punchline.

We were just pulling into the ferry terminal at Dover, on our way to Italy when we heard it over the radio. Like TB we missed all the media nonsense...

I was staying on the 'White Rose' caravan site near to Thirsk, twas the year before swmbo and I got together, met her on the same site but I was seeing someone else, off the site at the time ......a 'previous life' as swmbo and I refer to those times as....cos they both knew each other.....
