Auto gearbox snatches when cold

My Automatic gearbox has started to snatch at the drive when cold.  (Car is a 3.2 facelift elite estate)  I had thought that there was possibly insufficient oil in the box but it only took a spoonfull when i filled it up today.  Ideas would be much appreciated.

Drop the sumps...replace the filter screen and then add fresh DexIII.

That course of action tends to solve most autobox issues and whilst a messy job is quite straightforward and a guide is within the maintenance section.

It will snatch if you drive it hard from cold. Take it easy for first few minutes and see if it still snatches thereafter. There will always be a slight delay from 1st to 2nd as you drive off first thing from cold.

the snatching is a new and increasing phenomena so I guess replacing the filter screen is prime.
