Fitted the new dispack yesterday - as stated by others the access is awkward and i removed wiper motor/linkage for better access. Got her started up again and she seemed to idle a bit better, but will reserve this for when i take her out for a run.

The old dispack had a split down one side and there was some slight corrosion on the unit.

It got dark so didn't get round to putting scuttle back on, but i have managed to loose the foam bit that sits under the wiper spindle - is this a stealer part or could i just put some foam pipe insulation on it?

Big big thanks to all for their advice, though not finished i feel with your assistance i was able to increase my very limited mechanical know how.
