It became inevitable,and he may well have got what he deserved.Im uneasy though about the part the police federation have played in his demise.They seem to be an increasingly left wing outfit and have conducted a witch hunt over this.
I seriously doubt they would have done the same if he was a Liebore chief whip.

Good. I said so at the time.

The problem for me with all figures in the public spotlight is that they should set an example. It is how society works - from parents upwards. 

He could have defused the situation much earlier and quicker and perhaps held his job. People do make errors of judgement.

In his resignation letter to David Cameron, Mr Mitchell continued to insist that he did not use the word “pleb.”

However for the first time he gave an account of exactly what he did say: “I thought you guys were supposed to ****ing help us.”

Mr Mitchell was nicknamed “thrasher” because of his reputation as a public school prefect.
