Anybody on here breed parrakeets
« on: 28 October 2012, 01:08:54 »

Hi all,
Does anyone on here, within reasonable distance of my three abodes, breed parrakeets. I am in the process of dismantling my avairy and rebuilbing a new setup.
I have knocked up a 6x3 setup to house my last half a dozen Zebra finches, but I intend to build a new setup and restock. I am interested in normal and  Rosa Bourkes, normal Splendids, normal Torquosines, and on a different line, Diamond Doves. I have successfully bred all the named species in the past (except the doves) but due to family circumstances, and having to rely on others to feed, I had to reluctantly  downsize :( Circumstances have now changed for the better and I want to get back into the hobby. I have had an aviary since I was twelve, and can't think of not being without my avian friends. ( I had to word it like this cuz if I said can't do without birds, you lot would have been on it like a shot) ;D ;D
Not ready to resupply yet, but putting out a feeler. Obviously prepared to pay....but not outrageous prices some outlets charge !!! >:(

I was referring to the feathered kind ;)

Looks good. Not something I could really do, unless I wanted to provide a snack bar for the cat ::)

I've got a pic somewhere (I'll try and dig it out) of our westie, next door's cat and our guinea pigs all sat together. I didn't dare leave the room though, just in case...... :-X
