Always makes me wonder with these historic allegations how they go about proving them one way or another.
I'd imagine many years after the incident is supposed to have happened evidence would be nothing more than circumstantial and the actual allegation down to little more than the victim saying it happened and the accused saying it didn't.

Since all this has started with Jimmy Saville every name that comes out is more shocking than the last, might become easier to compile a list of celebs that aren't being investigated.

As said .. getting silly ...

apparently .. in the case of Hall the accusations go back  t0 1974 and 1984 involving girls aged between eight and 17.. it is now 2012 .. so  he has to "explain" his whereabouts from 38 years ago .. pretty near impossible IMHO .. also, the "victims" are now 46 and 65 (ish) ... why wait 38 years to make a complaint

Methinks it is just after either money or "fame" .... but having worked in court on "historic" sex crimes .. there is no easy answer and EVERYONE is a victim come the end, no matter which way it goes .. just remember .. there is NEVER a "draw" in a court, always "winners" and "losers" ... no matter which side you are on.

Yep, a sniff of compensation and everyone's on the bandwagon.

It strikes me that, if these people's lives had really been scarred by the alleged offences, they would have spent their every waking moment since seeking justice.

Are we really going to round up every ageing rocker, TV presenter, Radio DJ, publicist etc. from that generation and shuffle them through court, trying them to modern standards for offences committed long ago? Because I reckon there are tens of thousands of dirty backstage secrets that we could dig up if we wanted to.
