Must say I agree with John Williams' efforts, the Mission and Lord of the Rings

Would also add 'Dances with Wolves', such a haunting soundtrack.

Samuel Barbers Adagio for strings is a personal favourite which crops up all over the place, and always to good effect

Morse is an exceptional series well worth a mention of its own Beautifully crafted, with such well chosen pieces of music nearly sobbed when Morse died in the last episode. The end of an era
