Just seen it on the BBC news. Until they give up their 'right to bear arms' it happen time & time again. It's bad enough here where you need to know the right people to get hold of firearms rather that buy them in Wall Mart.

Sadly it doesn't surprise me anymore how low some "sickos"will stoop to get their "kicks" or "15 minutes of fame"A tragic event all the same.On a lesser scale I have heard of cases of the emergency services being attacked over here whilst trying to respond to emergency callouts[whether these were genuine or spurious callouts]and people have been caught trying to steal equipment from fire engines and ambulances attending incidents.

for me the reason for Americans dont ban guns is not complicated.. because they never feel safe..  in a country where 3 presidents were killed , many of them at least have one or more times lived a near death attack tells more than you need.. and add to that the power of gun industry the picture become more clear.. and to add that from the very first day when immigrants rush for lands nearly every problem is ended (legally solved or not is another question) by guns.. 
besides today they still solve? the world problems in a similiar fashion   of course this young empire one day will settle and agree on more civilized way of life.. but I doubt we can see that day..

We have frequently debated issues in foreign countries and the US gun debate is no different!  There is no reason why we shouldn't discuss it!!   

In addition to the two firefighters shot dead in New York state yesterday, two on duty Police Officers were shot and killed. One in Houston, Texas and one Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.    Four people killed for doing their jobs...

Piers Morgan didnt seem to see it that way.He gave them the benifit of his "wisdom" on the subject and now thousands of them have signed a petition to have him deported.
I sincerely hope the petition fails miserably.The expanse of the Atlantic ocean is the smallest distance I prefer to be from that nob. They should only be allowed to deport him if they send him to the moon imo.

Interesting on Tv(sky News) this morning they reported that gun sales are UP following Newtown shootings.

If the same amount of gun related deaths were generated per 1000 populace in the Uk it would be around 1800 per year.

Sadly , as I commented the last time, this is just symptomatic of a civilisation in decline.  I expect little less, they are their own worst enemies. As before very sad for the firemen (and families). My heart goes out for them.

What now? Armed guards at every street corner or in every fire engine.? T'is a barmy world.
