Unless they back out now - I have got a fair deal - it is the quarter end apparently and dealers desparate to get stuff booked.

Now been allocated 2012 Insignia Elite 2 litre Auto 160PS with halogens and adaptive lighting, fully loaded everything, bluetooth and NAV, power tailgate, leather with 7500 miles and over £15000 off list - crazy. £3500 for Signum. It has to come from another branch so will not see it til back end of next week.

And...going back to original thread - 4 years warranty from date of purchase. Balance of mfrs plus they topping it up to the 4 years.

Sounds like a result it will be much nicer than the Signum and the Omega lives on

To be honest I do not like to part with any car - we have been contacting family members to see if there is any interest in Signum but with nearly 80000 miles and the DMF issues (we have had 2 already) it is not that much in demand. A lovely car nevertheless.

The Omega is a bit of an institution now with friends and family but will have to go in next 12 months I think - although I have been saying that for last 4 years.

Compared to our Elite Estate it isn't , not for 2 big dogs, the height was very bad.

Little research suggests it has similar "litre" capacity to Omega at 540, but if you include up to roof it jumps to 965L for the Omega.

Had a good nose around one at a Vauxhall dealer, once we said it was for 2 dogs he said, sorry its not the car for you! 

Could see why really, better off with a Focus for space

Space in Insignia is not great but big enough for our needs and we have no dogs these days. As said elsewhere the Insignia is not an Omega replacement and going back some I can remember taking a single bed mattress tothe dump lying flat in the back of my 1984 Carlton CD - huge storage.

It turns  out (they just advised me today) I qualify for 0% finance over 5 years on this car - might as well use it

Ask them what additional discount you can have if you dont take it (as it costs them to setup)

thanks and good point - but I think will have to leave as is now.

Insigna driver space is not great for someone my size but have not fiddled with seat adjustments much as yet. It is ideal for my wife though who is main driver.
