Beware the EU trolls
« on: 03 February 2013, 21:38:20 »

So they want to spend our money to counteract rising euroscepticism?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/9845442/EU-to-set-up-euro-election-troll-patrol-to-tackle-Eurosceptic-surge.html

"Parliament's institutional communicators must have the ability to monitor public conversation and sentiment on the ground and in real time, to understand 'trending topics' and have the capacity to react quickly, in a targeted and relevant manner, to join in and influence the conversation, for example, by providing facts and figures to deconstructing myths."

They must be getting worried.  ;)

Watch out for Lord Haw Haw making a reappearance.

This is Germany calling, This is Germany calling sorry wrong script."  :-[ :-[
"This is the EU calling, this is the EU calling."
"Where is your pound now against the mighty Euro."
"Where would you be without the working time directive."
"How could you call yourselves civilized without the EU human rights law and court."
"How could your country cope without our equality laws to make insurance and pensions fair for all."
This is Germany calling, This is Germany calling sorry wrong script again."  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
"This is the EU calling, this is the EU calling."

If UKIP and other Eurosceptic parties do well as expected in 2014 and start to make things difficult for the EU commission, how long will it be before there is a xenophobia directive that makes it illegal to criticize the EU. After all this has worked in the past to a degree to keep a lid on things for far longer than they should in the USSR, China, North Korea, Libya, Syria and Iran to name but a few.  >:( >:( >:( >:(
