Was at Brands on Sunday to see the A1 Grand Prix and I have to say what a superb and well organised event this is. Arrived at the circuit at 7.30am without any queues and got ourselves a prime spot right on the start/finish line opposite the podium. There were various types of racing taking place all day but the highlights were obviously the A1 sprint and feature races. God these cars are good - not far off F1 pace and definitley as loud. Team GB's driver Robbie Kerr done an excellent job winning the sprint race and 2nd in the feature race narrowly being pipped by Team India's car driven by ex-F1 driver Karthikeyan.

The other highlight of the day was the Britcar race which features GT3 cars and a mix of highly modified saloons. One of these was Wessex Motorsport's V8 Star Omega (Alex Watson who runs the car is a member on here). OMG is this car quick!!

It wiped the floor with most of the other runners including Mosler's, V10 Dodge Vipers, V8 Marcos's, modified BMW M3's and GT3 series cars. It has a 645BHP Corvette LS 7 power plant and looks absolutely stunning. After starting the race in 32nd place on the grid it powered its way to the lead after several laps and held it for about 20 laps. It eventually lost out to 2 Mosler's after the 2nd round of pitstops and finished 3rd.
Anyway, I'll post up a few pics in the gallery when I have a bit more time.
