Fault Code 17
« on: 07 March 2013, 19:08:53 »

Advise required please guys.

On way back from work today EML came on so pulled over to check.Flashed up fault codes and got 12 and 17.

17 indicates knock sensor on passenger side so what is the best advise here.Assume as the sensors are pretty reliable its probably a fuleing issue on the n/side bank so will pull the plenum off in the morning and have a good look but what would be the "best guess" as to the problem !!

Nope...cam covers on that side havent been touched for over 2 years or about 60k and when it was done Daz last did the work so cant see that being the problem.

I was thinking a fueling causing "pinking" type symptoms and causing the sensor to register but unsure why it would have suddenly started...put fuel in yesterday but normal garage but suppose could be doddgy batch
