Just a shame they won't build another one down here at Dungeness instead of playing with those silly windmills.  >:( >:(
Btw the wind mills in the Thames estury when finished will only be the same as half a nuke.  :D :D
I'm all for a full nuke in the Thames estuary.

No, as they are used to a nuclear power station being there.

It is the same at Dungeness were in fact the locals are virtually demanding that agreement is reached to build a new replacement plant there.

In both cases it guarantees jobs. :y :y :y

The Government were trying to get a price of £80 and EDF wanted £100, so it looks like they have split the difference. Time will tell on who has got the better deal. If EDF has it will stand, if they go over budget and it is not high enough, they will renegotiate it, so it is completed.  :o :o :o :o This is how the MOD and defense contractors work anyway.  :o :o :o :o

So, how long do we have to wait before one of these plants does a Chenobyl, and finally kills off this country ;)

Make more use of wind and water, etc (but I don't mean those atrocious windmills)

How long will it take to do a Terbert Chernobyl? That depends, are you or Homer Simpson part of the workforce.  :o :P ;D ;D ;D
