Respray on rear bumper?
« on: 27 March 2013, 23:17:49 »

Any idea how much it would be to have the rear bumper painted at a body shop?

if you want to hear a low price and guarantee a good , quick job , call the painters and ask for the paint price
of a completely sanded part :y

then take the bumper out, sand(wet) the painted part completely with 320 until you see bare plastic.. will take nearly  whole afternoon..

ps: dont try on car, you will hurt yourself
pps: use gloves

I'd use wet and dry paper.

Thanks, I thought about prepping it myself to save a few quid. Any ball park figure though for the paint job?

Depends how well you get on with them. I could probably get it done for under £100 including prep work here but as a general rule of thumb I'd suggest around £100+Paint+VAT per panel at an independent body shop.
