In line extractor fan - live left over
« on: 23 March 2013, 19:47:04 »

Just changed an old in line bathroom extractor fan. The old one needed live, neutral and switch live. New one had no live input so just used other 2 and blocked off the live. It works fine but why?

I'm guessing the old unit used the perm live to run for a set time after being switched off?
