VAUXCHECK
« on: 07 November 2006, 20:17:58 »

Seen this advertised in Nov., edition of TV, checked out the website for cars listed that the software etc., works on. It did'nt have the Z26XE (2.6 V6), listed, which is my engine. So posted them query sent them pics, and their latest response was that they cannot find the engine listed only the Y26SE , which they fitted into Vectras. So it obvioulsy does'nt cover all vauxhall models and engine in terms of fault finding for the amatuer or pro. ;D ;D Yes gadget man  ;)

Yup its a Y26SE...

If you have a ELM interface (£30 from fleabay), and as yours is FBW and likely OBDII compliant, try the free software at www.scantool.net

I guess when compiling such lists, mistakes can creep in...

Mind you it took them almost a year to post a query I sent them in last year, and when they did put it in the mag they got my name wrong, and I already done the mods to the car ;D ;D

I suppose the interface that is compatible with omega is the ELM 323?, as it appears to be the only one listed for Opels (must have pin 7)
