Flat battery and locked out
« on: 18 April 2013, 18:58:41 »

Hi guys, the battery on my MV6 has gone flat but I`m unable to get into the car to pop the bonnet, the key turns in the lock but it won`t unlock. Never had this problem before and can`t understand why the key won`t unlock it  :-\
any help would be appreciated  :y

Keep turning the key HARD ..... it might feel like you're about to snap the key, but it will open. Don't expect the button to pop up though.  :y :y :y

Turn the key as hard and as far as you can while pulling the handle .. do NOT wait until the button pops up .. it won't ...

I've got into 3 folks cars for them as they were all waiting for the button to show unlocked ... turn and pull .. it works every time :)

n that case, open the boot and hook some jump leads onto the boot light bulb holder. Then press unlock on the fob.
Failing that you'll be climbing through to pop the bonnet.
