V6 Cam locking tool
« on: 03 May 2013, 16:20:20 »

Hi everyone

I'd like to replace the cambelt on my car but I just wondered if anyone knew of a locking kit available for hire in the Hampshire area ?  I know I'm a newbie on the site so I understand if all the answers are 'NO' .  But I'm hoping it won't be that bad .

Thanks everyone

They are quite costly kits, but Kevin Wood may have one. Might be worth dropping him a PM  :y

Ok thanks for that , can i still send him a pm if I haven't posted much ?

Yes I've noticed that the kits are bl**dy expensive ,I don't normally mind buying tools that I need ,but when it costs that much and it'll sit in the garage gathering dust after just 1 use , it's something I'd rather not buy.

Fingers crossed anyway  :)

if you cant get someone to lend you one, simply purchase the kit and then resell it once done.  :y

Not sure if these are the correct ones but someone might know  :)

The items above cover the cam locks but you'd need the crankshaft to water pump lock plus the wedge.  :y
