you may also find it hard getting someone who has'nt passed their test insured...or it will be so expensive you will find it unrealistic as i have heard some horror stories of late with old discos and insurance costs!

1500 a year - no worse than a 3.2 MV6, or a 1.9 renault laguna  ???

break me you got a quote for £1500....for me with no NCB (3.9 v8 1996) on its own policy with breakdown cover unlimited mileage, fully comp £315 :y

Could be partly due to previously mentioned medical issues plus postcode perhaps.

the only time it would cause a problem or even reportable to DVLA is when your car is converted....i have a knackered hip but dont seem a problem :y

Ins. companies are not allowed to penalise for medical conditions -
equality act 2010
that includes modifications to compensate for disabilities  :y

Have you considered a Jeep? Mercedes engine and auto box on the Grand Cherokee and they are cheap, comfortable and pretty good on fuel ime, quicker and more comfortable than a Disco.......... :y :y

parts are cheaper and more plentyful..(and not because the landy needs more lol)....best thing to do is get your self to a 4x4 deal and take a test drive in both...if you can :y
