And a few bad races trying to find the setup that allows him to ride it the way he wants to also didn't make him a has been who should be elbowed in favour of Crashlow either. ;)  I suspect he will do better the rest of this season and will continue riding next year. The only remaining question (which has always been the only question for me) is,does he still have enough in his tank to beat Lorenzo as he used to do on a regular basis.Only time will tell on that one,as its a very big question indeed. Lorenzo just keeps getting better and better, and the GOAT isn't getting any younger.
This year may well be the pinnacle of Crutchlows career imo.He desperately wants a works ride, with the money and kudos that brings. That means riding for Ducati or possibly Suzuki when they return. If he goes down that route he will move back down the field.
Dovi outclassed him on the Tech3 bike when he was his team mate, and he is struggling badly on the Ducati now.
Albs, he hasn't won in two years or whatever it is. Even Eurosports commentators where commenting the ink had faded on their notes, of when he last won. ;D

Dovi used his greater experience last year, with Crutchlow improving as the season went on. Personally, I think Crutchlow has the raw speed and should be given one more season to improve his race craft and consistency. When Lorenzo first started in MotGP he was very fast, but binned it much more often the Crutchlow. He then needs to use the season to show he is a either a Lorenzo :y or Pedrosa :o in the making. If the former he gets to keep his factory seat.  :y

You know the old saying, you can't make a slow rider fast but you can get a fast rider to make fewer mistakes. :y

it's a satellite team Rods it's not a factory ride. Albeit a well funded one.

But yes makes sense.

I suspect, If the third factory ride(as opposed to a tech3 ride) rumour is true, and Rossi does indeed keep winning, Yamaha will have a hell of a line up of Lorenzo, Rossi and Crutchlow.

We'll see. :y

:-[ I know, slip of the keyboard. Crutchlow is doing well where it is an updated 2012 bike.  :y

I hope it pans out the way you suggest Rods, but will he ever be a world champion ? I seriously doubt it.The future is Lorenzo and Marquez imo.

I agree that they are the two riders to beat. Now he has managed pole, winning a GP must be the next ambition.  :y

He could possibly win a race or two in certain circumstances, but I cant see him doing it on a regular basis tbh.
As always though,time will tell.
As for Bradley Smith. He must have a hell of a manager,as imo, he has never done anything to justify a ride in MotoGP.
Scott Redding on the other hand.If there is a great British rider in the next few years it will probably be him.

Capt Slow, does talk a good game with plenty of excuses. Just as well he has a 2 year contract or he would have been out at the end of this season. He is doing worse than Crutchlow and Toseland did in their first season ::) Scott Redding should have got the Tech3 ride if it had been on merit rather than connections.
