I agree up to a point Mike, but 'experts' once stated that the World was flat, the Sun travelled around it, and light could not be bent etc, etc, etc....

Very true, but it was another scientists/travellers,etc who proved that wrong..  not a politician.

Agreed, but the politicians always listen to the 'experts' for economical and political reasons not what the people really require or what common sense dictates

i.e. that bloody big tent on the South bank of the Thames and the 2012 Olympics costing £11bn
