Went over to Bury today.  20-odd miles on the A14.  Couple of observations:
  • If whatever car I get next doesn't have cruise control, I am likely to get speeding points and lose my licence.
  • Without the ABS/ECU, the car seems to be drinking petrol at an even greater rate than usual.
  • Standard of driving on the A14 between Bury St. Edmunds and Ipswich between 17:15 and 17:45 this evening can only be described as abysmal.  Doesn't anybody apart from me know that you are supposed to use BOTH lanes?  WTF is the point of all queuing up to drive at 60 in the outside lane when there is absolutely no traffic at all in the inside lane?

That's me!

But I really don't know what to do.  Already talking to someone on here who can fix the ABS.  That's the cheapest option, but there may be other problems looming:
  • Steering geometry
  • Power steering
  • Exhaust/rear suspension/something's going clunk
  • Headlight switch
  • Gearbox (possibly)
  • Rust

Not to mention some minor details:
  • Some of the switch lamps don't work
  • CD magazine jammed - can't get my discs out
  • Paintwork not good, even on the non-rusty bits
  • Front bumper blue, rest of car black(ish)
  • Big dent in boot lid

Runs well, though, mostly. :)
