Obviously, Mr Postie would trash it if it was posted.

They have one - I tried to get it out, but with no power in any of their cars, and a limited amount of tools, I couldn't get it out.

I *think* it will need the (scissor) arms cutting to free the glass, but would take all day with a hacksaw. Do you have some kind of cutting disc that would fit a fully charged cordless drill (which I know you do own)?

Scrappy closes quite early on a Sun. Think he said 2ish... :o

I hope so, as most of the windscreen is on the front seats.

For the sake of a tenner or so, I'd rather replace it myself, just leaving those mongrels to cock up replacing the windscreen.

I replaced a driver's door window a few years back when some d***head in a Saab decided he wanted the same bit of road I was already on & tried to stuff my extended towing mirror through it. I got mine from the scrappy & although I can't remember exactly what I did, I definitely didn't need a battery pack to power up the donor car/window motor. Pretty sure I just drilled out the pop rivets & went from there.

Drill out the rivets to enable the regulator mech to be moved about and the arms going into the runner part of the window can be eased out with a bit of a jiggle :y

Went back to scrappy with tunnie earlier, with a cordless drill. Job jobbed.
