Hunt was a real character by the look of it, booze, fags and birds what more could a man want :y

Hunt was what the Monoco boys can only aspire to be, from a playboy PoV. Both of them had more carcraft in their little toe that the current crop.  A bit like Senna/Prost a generation later.

Watched this yesterday on iPlayer. Absolutely awesome as I love F1 but was not around when these two were fighting it out. I howled with laughter when I heard what hunt said to lauda after his accident..

''you know niki, youre the only person I know who could come out of a fireball better looking''  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Tbh,Lauda was 10 times the driver Hunt was.Hunt was a bit of a character, but he wasn't a great driver. If Lauda hadn't had his crash he would have walked the championship in 76.
Hunt hit a peak that year, but he never did anything much after that season.
He was a great commentator though.Talk about saying it like it is. He wouldn't get away with it these days. ;D
