Tow bar Electrics Grey Socket
« on: 28 July 2013, 19:18:18 »

hi,
Noticed in car manual that there is a fuse (fuse # 27) for a "switched" power feed for the the above.
Does anybody know where the wire for this is or how to make the connection?
Thanks

No, it's not in my car either  ;) ....... I didn't read all the question. However, I'me sure the manual says a permanent 12volt  ???

A misleading question!  ;D ;D ;D

If you want a 'switched' live for your fridge & caravan battery charging, you need a voltage sensitive relay ie one that switches when it senses there's more than 12volts going to it, when the engine is running.

Fuse # 5 is for the continuous live for the trailer and yes it is the large red wire in the boot.
Have found that but want to find where fuse #27 out put is.

If you use one of the smart charging relays to connect up it will be a "switched" feed anyway as the relays don't run fridge/battery charging until they detect charge voltage after start up :y
