Strange omega day
« on: 03 August 2013, 11:00:21 »

This morning I finally moved on the 2.6 CDX I bought to keep me busy while loads of work problems were going on, absolute minter and lovely but just didn't feel like a keeper for some reason. I probably lost a couple of quid on it but enjoyed driving it for a while and the guy got an absolute steal.

Bought a 2.2 petrol a while ago from an old guy I know who has lavished money on it, new wishies, shocks, springs, exhaust, battery, top mounts, tyres, cat and cambelt etc but he bought a new Merc and the mig was surplus, mint and cost little. This is the one that was damaged in the carwash and will likely get a full respray as a result of the claim, anyhow with a new radiator and ATF change it passed it's MOT this morning and is tight as a drum. Possibility of it needing a box solenoid but that's not a major problem.

Only engine I haven't had is a 3.2...........yet ;)  Kind of addictive aren't they!

So much car for so little money.
Seriously underrated.
Rare (in comparison to 5'ers etc)

I have tried to change into something else on a couple of occasions, and always find myself sat back behind the wheel of an Omega.  :y
