Dogs don't 'scoot' through worms, it's usually due to blocked anal (scent) glands due to a poor diet or digestive problem. If their poo isn't firm enogh to squeeze the glands on the way out, they will block up and cause discomfort.
There are videos on youtube showing how you can unblock them, but I wouldn't fancy it, thank you. ;D
