Rear bumper trim ?
« on: 13 November 2013, 13:21:39 »

P/f . Can the black plastic/rubber trim be removed and replaced  :-\ One corner has a slight scuff and had an argument with a wall so looking to replace if possible  :y Ive heard a heat gun sometimes puts the plastic back to shape  ??? Anyone tried that ?

The strip at the top , maybe just as cheap to replace bumper  :-\

Unfortunately no. The textured bit is all one piece, the middle painted bit is the only bit that's separate. You'd be better finding a bumper that's better than yours ..... go & look before buying though, because some people's definition of a 'perfect' bumper isn't always the same as yours

the omega bumper in the picture (its not yours ?)  is not factory standard.. its painted.. so you can sand the scuffed part and paint to black or whatever color you want.. use plastic primer first and apply other primer when plastic primer is half wet.. :y

ps:  if scuffs are deep you'll need to prime the surface in 2 sessions..

the lower section might be a 'go-faster' after market addition, but the lower section of my Elite is factory painted to match the car  ;) Lesser models has the same textured finish as the upper section.  ;)
