High Commissioner is not exactly high end whisky to start with. It's the cheapest of cheap blends and, in my experience, the only way to change it from 'rough as a badgers arse' to 'barely paletable' is to keep it in the fridge till it's well chilled and serve with an ice cube chaser.

Good luck exchanging it though. There is a fair amount of guff booze floating about apparently.
Bring back VAT 69. ;D


I, along with a couple of friends, got absolutely w**kered on this stuff as a teenager. So bad did I feel that I can still vividly recall the date........23rd December 1975. I was fifteen. :-\ :-\ :-\ :D :D :D

just been in and the owner/manager offered to swap it for another bottle so I refused and offered again to pay the difference and get a bottle of grouse instead which he agreed with and says he is gonna send the bottle back,bet he doesn't but ive got what I wanted  :y
