But yes, an alarming accident. He had a roll cage in it though, surely?

Not aloud on the salt without one, afaik.

Full FIA cage is mandatory AFAIK, as are HANS devices and arm & leg restraints to keep your limbs inside the cage in the event that you find yourself bouncing down the salt flats like a giant fast moving tumbleweed..

Even so, think I'd give that a miss!
