You should know by now, to ignore pcn's issued by private companies, you'll get lots of threatening letters, but they won't take you to court, as they threaten they will 

Honest John (motoring section) in the Telegraph reckons just to send them a cheque for a tenner, beacause if they cash the cheque, they have accepted payment from you (obviously include a letter stating that the pcn is way too much and heres your offer)....but i reckon thats too much
