Not for those in Yorkshire, for 500 families who live local to Goldthorpe and are on benefits. Coming to a high street near you.

An interesting development. For example sourcing bread that had been wrongly labelled/packaged.

Good idea for those struggling but a sad indictment of the modern age.

Seems like the usual way in this country now.

The rich are OK

The ones on benefits are OK

Those in the middle who have a financial hiccup are kicked back down into the gutter. >:(

Yes, although I don't begrudge anyone a bit of food, it is a bit bottom heavy these days.
When the tax allowance goes up to £10,000 next year, the 40% rate will kick in at about £31,000.

Yeah. Nick Clegg wants to give it to the 'poor', not the rich bastards who earn £35K.

Well in some cases they do have a point when they say then can spend it much better than the taxpayers they legally rob it from. They are chauffeured around in Jaguars, you drive a Daewoo. :P :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;D

High rate tax was meant for the rich. Too many other ordinary workers paying it as the threshold doesn't go up with wages.

£31k isn't exactly a King's Ransom and I'm sure that the properly wealthy will have clever accountants advising them on tax avoidance.
