I wish it were Friday. And I wish I was off until the 9th.

But then, I'm glad I work normal weeks, I'd never keep up with silly shift weeks.

I've rarely ever worked Mon - Fri 9 till 5 and on the few occasions I have I've not particularly liked it. There are various disadvantages to shifts, but the best bit is that I go to work fewer times in a month/4 weeks .......

Yes 12 hour shifts mean 3 days at work instead of 5. Les time at work, more time at home, less travel costs.  ....but more time feeling knackered. Ime.

that's one of the draw backs ....... it could be worse - it could be nights ???

Did nights as part of a 12 hour 3 sift system in my yoof. It nearly killed me then, so I wouldn't touch it now. No way.

I did two nights last winter as a one off (or should that be a two off  ::)) ..... strip a cooker down one night and then build it back up the next. It just served as a reminder as to why I wouldn't want to do them long term again  ;) (The money was good though  8))

I don't mind nights tbh, now that Im used to it. Not looking forward to the next fortnight though as Im swapping between nights & days, which I hate. I will be (more) like a zombie by early January.  ::)

I struggled with the days/nights rota... bad enough with four days off inbetween, but two days, two nights, two off was a really shitty shift  :-\

Sure I read that shifts should not change over a 2 week period, to allow workers to settle into a routine.

It's not a change of shifts though... Rather a fixed rota pattern.

Need a notice period to deviate from a rota pattern, although 'Operational Requirements' is a universal contractual 'Get shafted' clause >:(

Sorry I meant as an ideal, to suit body clock. Obviously no company gives a rats arse about that.
