I got the Ipod touch a few weeks back, and to be fair, it's replaced my XDA Exec as my day to day remote access for the office,

true I need to be near a WiFi hot spot (or one of our customers... got to love the engineers WiFi test login) to access the VPN but its much lighter than the XDA, does more that I want & really need, and the battery last a fair old time.

Once the iPhones get cheaper than I will replace my Touch and my moblie with with one

The iPhone's OK, though it feels surprisingly heavy for it size. Works OK, only problem is that the touch-screen is heat sensitive and not pressure-sensitive, so you must tap it with your finger and can't use a pen etc, which is a problem if you have largish fingers as I found out....

Now is not a time to buy own. Rumour is that 3G version will be out in a few weeks.

Great feature set, but not particularly well implemented, just feels it needs a MkII update...
