We trialled a glider winch with one of those in a couple of years back. Let's just say the power delivery wasn't really ideal for that role. It was hard work and, at times, a bit scary, at both ends of the cable.

Yes, when you hit the right combination of throttle position, revs and boost. Elsewhere, there's nothing, and the transition between the two is not subtle.
