I agree Vamps. I can see the headlines now... ''Another OOFer causes Motorway carnage''  ;D

I wrote my first car off (2000 W Reg.) Astra. Tried to turn whilst on a winding slip road up to the A43. Turned wheel and car carried on straight. Horrible thing under steer  :'( 40mph straight in to a tree. I'll never forget that airbag smell :o :o :o only injury was getting a smack in the face from the rear-view mirror  ::)

First person to stop... copper on a bike. He was really good with a shaken up teenager  :y

Wimp! we faced solid metal dashboards with no seat belts........ :D :D ::)

running into the back of a Volvo Estate in a Mini Traveler, no damage to the Volvo....... ::) ::)
I was in my first car, a Triumph Acclaim, took one hard up the arse from a big Volvo estate. The rear of mine all caved in, yet his rather headlights still worked...

Bike cops are pretty good, met a few, all decent people. Area (I think) cars though, usually driven by knobs who think they are traffic but are not (I know a few in traffic and they told me this - knew them through hobbies.)

Ripped the back end off a highly tweaked mini which myself and a couple of lads on the squadron built out in Germany in the 80's.
We stripped it out and welded in our version of a full rally spec roll cage and a couple of bucket seats.
Never drove it off the airfield, it was just a weekend toy for the lads on the squadron.
The deal was if you broke it, you fixed it  ::)

Hit a bump mid corner.
Car took off side wards and came into contact with one of Germanys finest trees.

I spent the next few days with the worse headache ever

The car was well and truly dead  :-X
