Yodel are a joke.

I checked out their customer reviews once. From something like 5000 reviews they ended up with 1.2 out of 5. :(
Yet large companies like Amazon continue to use them, and others of their ilk.
Because they're cheap... although they're cheap because they're crap. Have watched one of their drivers pull up outside the house, write a Sorry card, get out, pop it in the letter box, get back in the van and drive off, all before I could get downstairs to ask why he was so retarded :o

Onanist made no attempt to either press the door bell, (which incidentally is next to the letter box), or to get the 2kg package out of the van. Car was clearly on the drive, as I was in. Took them nearly a week to redeliver the package >:(

That's my point. Amazon, in my opinion, cannot be beaten for customer service, yet they put their reputation at risk by using these numpties. I had a parcel delivered to the wrong address and amazon immediately refunded me. I got the parcel later and told amazon but they never took the money back.

He was clearly a graduate of Parcel Farce's training school, as that is their SOP. The sooner that the asset strippers realise that the Royal Mail is only pretending to be a parcel delivery organisation the better. Could anyone explain to me how they can get a parcel to me from Scotland overnight, but I have to wait at least 24hours to collect it from the sorting office less than a mile away? It's particularly frustrating as the oppsers never manage to deliver parcels to me.

Best thing to do for future purchases is to remove your personal name from the parcel delivery and put on a company name or something. Then the delivery guy/thieving neighbour has no name to give out or try to sign.

Bitter experience in terms of £200 quids worth of purchase which was "signed for" so delivered even thou it was clearly not my signature.

I like Yodel :-* :-* :-*.The inept approach to business they favour so  much resulted in a free bread maker. :y :y

Parcel farce and royal fail are 2 separate companies, both inept but separate companies never the less, both are owned by RMG but they split them up to see who made the most money but then found they were both running at a loss, so instead of having one big loss they ended up with have 2 smaller losses which makes no sense at all

Despite living in the arse end of nowhere, we have absolutely no issues with any couriers or RM, and haven't for years since Amtrak went up the Gary Glitter.

Amtrak had a 100% failure rate to ever deliver on the promised day, and about a 50% failure rate to ever deliver, but always used the same excuse that the driver had had an accident.

Not an economist then... ::)

Smaller losses equals less interest, therefore lower interest payments, making the debts easier to service. If one part of the business has a good couple of months, they can reduce their losses, and therefore interest, without having to bail out the rest of the group, rather than having one profitable department propping up the whole house of cards :y

the only reason they have had a good couple of months is that most of the rounds in parcel farce have now been sold to the drivers, but they pay for everything i.e the van the hht...must be worth doing as the drivers would not go down that route I guess :-\

I use APC for ABS club shop deliverys as they are cheaper than Royal Snail and everything is signed for and normally next day

Well here's the reply from the complaints dept. re. my run in with Yodel customer services

Dear Jason

I am genuinely sorry that you have had cause to complain and I can assure you that this matter has been taken very seriously.

Our drivers have strict guidelines governing when and where a shipment can be left safe, and clearly in this instance they have not been followed.  I have forwarded your email to the management team of the relevant service centre and asked that the driver responsible is dealt with following our disciplinary procedures.  Our delivery standards have evidently not been met and this is not the level of service we would wish any customer to receive.

Please may I re-iterate my apologies on behalf of Yodel for your poor customer experience and for all the inconvenience this has caused.

That is EXACTLY what happened to us, on a delivery from Argos, left near the recycling bin, again not seen till the next day - good job it didn't rain, despite the fact that the delivery instruction clearly visible on the box said to leave in the porch or next door........... >:( :-X

Had a phone call from a manager at Yodel today, he was very apologetic and stated that he'd had the driver in for 'words' this morning. The driver could not explain why he'd said I'd signed for it but he'd left it outside  ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D and the manager stated that after a very big bollocking, final written warning & being docked 2 days pay the driver has been removed from delivering in our area and is to be given further 'training'.

Not a bad result, IF the manager has done what he says.
