2003 2.2

Bought this car sept 2012, drove it till the tax ran out and then parked it up till jan this year (SORN)  Only known issue was a weak battery, which was renewed with a new one.  Car started 1st time, no issues, not even with the brakes and went straight through the MOT.

Dont drive often and even then its just a mix of local driving then the odd long run.  Last couple of trips out I noticed the heater wasn't working into the foot wells, on checking it was the same with the screen, so next time before driving topped up the water bottle thinking that may be the but sadly there was no change.

Began to think the problem may have been the HBV as there was no heat on any of the 3 vent settings no matter what the temp setting.  BUT then noticed the passenger side was the 1st to clear when fogged up on the screen setting and was very slow to clear the drivers side, but the heat through to the rear passengers was perfectly normall and providing plenty of hear.

So whats the possible problem,

HBV or maybe a pipe lose on it.

Faulty heater controls.

Blocked matrix

Pipe lose under the dash.

Cars done 46K

Water looks in perfect condition it header tank just like a new car.

If the passenger side is heating but not the driver's side, it's almost certainly that one of the blending flaps has become disconnected from its' motor. :y

Forgot to add there has been a whine type of noise coming from the screen air vent when the fan is on full.

Is it a big job to sort?
