I quite fancy going to Rio someday!  Maybe go for the carnival. 

Its next week from memory, I have been 5 times now (going again in a few weeks) and to be honest, there is not that much to see and do.

Plus Hotels are hard to get and expensive then add in a very poor transport system and it gets quite challenging.

If you do go, a few days or a week tops would be enough.

Ah... Maybe next year then!    Yes I'm sure it's an expensive place especially at carnival time! 

If I went, it would be part of a South America tour and I'm sure you are right in that a couple of days would be enough.  Go and see Jesus, get mugged, sit on Copacabana Beach and look at the girls, get mugged. Job done, move on!!
