Be aware that some of the thermostat housings are "thinner" than others, and if you use the original bolts on a "thin" one it will "bottom out" and two things could happen ... the head could split if you overtighten, or the thermostat will simply leak as it doesn't seal properly... you need a couple of slightly shorter bolts then it all works correctly as you can torque it down properly.

definitely I agree but there are some people who would go for the cheapest option

crack a few of them in my time and the long pipe coming off it. if you can buy the complete housing

Mine was £17 delivered. Wahler part; obviously the original supplier, as someone had made a very half-hearted effort to grind the letters GM off it. Other than that it was identical to the one I removed, right down to casting flash in the same places. Why would anyone pay over three times as much for the same part?
