Is this adjustable or are am i looking at a replacement one here as its getting more difficult to open bonnet.... If new one required i assume all the same kinda quality as its only a cable???

You can also adjust the bonnet spring. Thats what i had to do to get mine to work :y

Try pushing the bonnet down as someone else pulls the lever in the car

Your method worked for me, Al, when I had a similar problem, but I had to push down and pull up on the bonnet alternately until eventually sprang up properly.
The cable is dead easy to adjust, as I found from the guide on here.....

  Make sure there is grease around the catch as well as they sometimes get dry from cleaning

Had mine jam last week turned out fusible link box above battery had come adrift so bonnet did,nt close square on or flush after much cursing & effort  between two grown men to try & lever open SWMBO came out & just lent on bonnet pushing it down and it popped open ,you just know I,ll never hear the last of that dont you. ;D ;D.

Shouldn't laugh... Much :D

Having spent an hour yesterday trying to start mine, loads of obscure/random codes, only to remeber that I had unplugged both dash connections in the passenger footwell :-[
