what oil for 2.5 dti 24v common rail

Getting my lhd 2.5 dti24v  registered and onto the road next week. What oil is recommended for this engine?

Don't own a diesel but Vauxhall's own brand of oil is recommended for the petrol engine. Probably recommended for the diesel as well.

As long as you change it often enough (esp as its a diesel), pretty much anything will do as long as it meets the handbook spec.

In my old 2.5TD, not common rail though, I used GM 10W40 semi, purely on cost, and changed it every 3k

fairly sure 5/30 full synthetic is recommended for this engine !! :y
