3,2 plenum on a 3,0 engine?
« on: 28 May 2014, 09:46:16 »

Hi

Can anyone tell me if the 3,2 plenum will fit on a 3,0l engine, will the throttle body from a 3,0l fit? (I know there will be no holes to fit the throttle wire bracket)

But am I right in thinking there is no holes for either EGR or Idle air control valve? (Which will be perfect for what I have in mind)

Well, EGR is gone and will be gone forever
And I'm also removing the Idle air control valve, as I'm installing an MBE engine management system

I won't be using the throttle cable either

3.2 plenum will fit. 3.0L throttle bodies will fit, you just need to drill and tap holes for throttle cable.

Yep, the manifold and sandwich plate have slightly smaller passages on the 2.6 but the plenum is the same.

Sounds like an interesting project. Keep us posted. :y

+1, fitted a nicely polished plenum from a 2.6, thinking that would look better on my 3.2, gave a good once over before fitting and ithey are both identical.  ;)

That's good, then I will order a 3,2l plenum
Don't think I will be using the throttle wire, as you think.
I will update the gallery thread when things start happening  :)
