Another winner from Parcelforce
« on: 06 June 2014, 20:55:57 »

So my exhaust came from Poland in 3 days. Parcelforce pretended to deliver it today; there was someone in all day, but they managed to slip the card through the letterbox without anyone noticing.

So, I have three options: have them deliver it another day, but they don't work weekends and there won't be anyone in next week, plus they've already proved that they can't do the job they've been paid for; pay extra to have it delivered to work - that's not going to happen as I've already paid for it; or collect it from the local depot. Which is what I'm reluctantly going to do, but the new efficient, privatised company moved the 'local' depot from 4miles up the road to Crayford. So that's a gallon of fuel and 90 minutes out of my day off, more time than it will take to fit the damned thing.

So it seems all that the bloody useless, <~&king incompetent, piss-poorly organised, shittily lazy #*!s can actually deliver is a bad case of Tourettes, which isn't something I expected to get through the post.

Parcel farce at their best. I'd make them re deliver personally. And again and again and again, until its in hand.

That's what I prescribe anyway. ;D

Tempting as that is, I want it on the car, and can still get that done tomorrow. Which is better than another 3 weeks of swearing at the self-abusers, as Mum and Dad are off the France for a fortnight on Monday.

I was actually hoping that Dr Chris would prescribe an automatic shotgun and unlimited ammunition for use when I've got the bloody exhaust.

I was thinking that if the depot is that far away they'll think twice about having to come back again. But then we are talking Farce drivers here. Maybe they enjoy the journey? But I'd if thought they'd have a a few other drops that day as well.

But needs must.

See how it goes, if symptoms persist we can up the dose if needed. :y

It's impressive that the privatised Parcelfarce has managed to downgrade their service from terrible to non-existent.
No, not impressive. Depressing, that's the word I wanted.

The sooner the whole enterprise goes tits-up, so that nobody is even tempted to use them, the better.

I must admit, most couriers seem to have upped their game lately. Parcel farce, being an ex-public company where they get paid no matter how they perform, will keep that mindset until it gets knocked out of them.

Could be worse... the could have left it on the drive for the pikeys... or worse still, been Yodel ::)

Although that said, the last two things from the States have been entrusted to Yodel, and both times, the bloke rang the bell, waited for the door to be answered and actually delivered the parcel on both occasions  :o

Gobsmacked does not do my reaction justice ;D

Could be a lot worse ........Could have been Parcel2Go  >:(

I bought a pair of new rear shocks and the seller sent them via this shower of blaggards . They were collected on the 11-5 and after the standard " attempted to deliver but not known at ..." they ended up at a depot in Netherlands after much contact from myself and the sender it was sent to country of delivery and then delivered according to tracking.
They stated that it was delivered to address on 2-6 . I was home all that day as it was ........a Bank Holiday here in Ireland  ::)
You cannot contact the company except through a bizarre live chat system that has the operator talking to several people at once resulting in mixed up replies being given and then when they get fed up with you they issue a standard " we will check this out and get back to you " .
Easily, by a country mile , the absolute worst ,arrogant, aloof and uninterested company to do business with who go out of their way to prevent you from speaking or contacting them. >:(

Yup, you can readily assess just how poor a company is if they don't have a phone number ;D

Awoke to read 2 emails this morning from Royal Mail:

1- 03.37am Royal Mail has received your item for delivery at EC1 Mount Pleasant Delivery office and we will attempt to deliver today (to my London address in EC4)

2 - 06.41am Royal Mail was unable to deliver your item please arrange etc etc. The Reception desk at EC4 address is 24/7 so God knows what has gone on.

How bloody stupid.

Security have checked cameras from 3.30 am onwards and no attempted delivery made. Jokers. This is my £34 tablet computer and bits they are supposed to be delivering by the way.

They were. Which would have been merely irritating.
Their new 'international' depot opened on Thursday.
In Crayford. Which is hardly local, making for a  70minute round trip.

Now you've fired up my postal tourettes again, so I'm going to swear at the cat for a bit.
