I wonder what the Lib Dems positive spin will be after coming in sixth in the Newark by election?

I wonder what the Lib Dems positive spin will be after coming in sixth in the Newark by election?

When a LD spokesperson was asked to comment on how their party fared, he confidently stated that the party as the un-official raving loony party, did significantly better with 1,004 votes than the official raving loony party that only managed 168. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Asked about the 17.5% drop in their votes, the official said: Firstly the figure you have given is a typical media exaggeration, it was actually much, much smaller than your quoted figure at 17.41% and this is to be expected when you are the junior party in a coalition, and the senior partner shows up just how crap our politicians and ministers are compared to theirs. The ministers Clegg, Cable and Davey are all equally useless and the Westminster laughing stock, but they are the best we've got, so we stand by them. The same spokesperson said they are not bothered as private polls show that voters tend to return to regular voting patterns at a General Election and they expect to increase their share of votes in 2015 by getting at least 1005 votes in Newark and in that election they are highly confident in doing extremely well, so confident, that they don't expect to do any worse than having no MPs. ;D ;D ;D ;D

The government are refusing to put any UKIP peers into the House of Lords. I don't see how that can continue if UKIP get a good percentage of the vote a the next general election.
