« on: 10 June 2014, 21:17:21 »

Can you check if cancer has spread to your lymph nodes by using blood tests or a mri scan
Or do you have to have surgery.  I know its a bit of a big question but i want some indepenant answer.
Can you please answer if you know, not what google says. I have read all of that.

ps. If admin thinks this is not the sort of subject that should be aired then please delete.

thanks Paul

I think they can get an indication from an MRI or PET scan, but I think the only sure way is by surgical removal and analysis.  :-\

Note though that I'm not a Dr...............   Unlike many!  ::)

No. A PET CT may give you a very good idea, but the gold standard test is a biopsy, either surgical or guided by a CT scan.
